Axle Davids

Axle is a co-facilitator, branding expert, and the leader of the Distility team. He created Distility to make branding smoother and simpler through a sophisticated workflow that delivers a winning, fully actionable brand in as few as seven meetings. For every project, Axle ensures a winning brand strategy, and works with the team to develop visuals, writing, and experiences that are “on brand”. Before starting Distility, Axle was at the helm of Axle Branding, a traditional branding firm. He learned about branding as the creative director for two of Canada’s pioneering digital firms, where he oversaw more than 150 interactive design projects for high-profile brands like Lands’ End, Cosmopolitan, Disney and Apple. Axle is a graduate of the University of Toronto Trudeau Peace Center.

 

Margaret Sims

Margaret Sims – Advisor

Margaret Sims

Until she started work as an advisor to Distility in October, 2010, Margaret was a partner in the Miller Thomson LLP financial service and insolvency group. Her practice focused in the dynamic area of insolvency and restructuring. While continuing with her practice, Margaret completed her executive MBA at Rotman, and, in that endeavour, she gained increased business knowledge and greater insights into the business issues faced by her clients.

Margaret’s time in law has made her acutely aware of the speed of business and the need for real time solutions to help businesses succeed. Her practice encompassed a wide range of industries including automotive manufacturing, product manufacturing, financial services, professional services, travel agency, mining, construction and not-for-profit businesses.

Kalan Vuksanovich

Kalan is a co-facilitator, and creative lead with the Distility team. His passion for semiotics and writing make him a natural for developing brand visual and verbal systems. With years of experience as a marketing journalist and blogger, Kalan has a first-hand understanding of how an authentic brand can bring the right kind of attention from the press and, by extension, from a client’s target audience. Kalan has a BA in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University.

Todd Major

Todd Major is an award-winning, all-in-one resource for the design and delivery of the Digital Systems and Business Systems that  brilliantly embody a client’s brand strategy. Since he began his freelance work with the Distility team in 2000, Todd has been the lead artistic director, working across all areas of branding systems to make your marketing collateral speak to the exact brand guidelines generated by your team in the Distility 1day1brand workshop.
